A Sweet Transvestite Changed My Life

Sidenote:
"I got 50 followers, I got 50 followers, I got 50 followers, I got 50 followers..."
Now, imagine me singing that over and over AND doing the happy dance at the same time.  True, it would become pretty annoying after about 3 seconds, but I'm chuffed to little meatballs!  Seriously, I am Grinny McGrinny-gal here!
And so to commemorate this momentous (?) occasion (not that I'm using this as an excuse to post something while I sort out my head and my life again), I have decided to repost one of my earliest blogs for those of you who have recently joined my little realm.
Enjoy :)
And thank you.  Thank you for making me feel - well - a little more worthwhile.

The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive

On the whole I don't watch television (I don't see the point as nothing will ever, ever be as good as "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), but once in a blue moon I see something that will completely blow my little mind.

Hello World!

How have you been?  Being good I trust?  Or if you haven't been good, you've been good at being bad?  Fantastico!

Why Let the Truth Get in the Way of a Good Story?

Guess what?

I'm a slut.
Wahey!

I'd like to thank the academy for this prestigious honor, my friends for actively encouraging my wantonness, and, of course, my many, many sexual conquests, a majority of whom I didn't know even existed but without whom this accolade would not be mine...

Giggle Vid: Puss Cat Double Feature.

Only three words can sum up these videos...

Gee.  Knee.  Us.

Where I Live...

Following my post about what my fellow bloggers from the U S of A thought about England. (which you can read by clicking here), I thought I'd give you a 5 minute tour of my neighbourhood, just to show that we don't all live in castles or in the dark ages.

Once Upon a Time...

...there was a man.

For the longest time, he was the most important man in my life.  I adored him.  I worshiped him.  And I would have moved heaven and earth to make him happy.

A Song for Song's Sake

This song is from the end of the video game, Portal 2.

I don't have a good reason for posting it

I just like it a lot:)

    Is This Real Life?

I have now been awake for about 38 hours.

I feel like hell on a stick.

Sunday Stealing: The 65 Questions Meme

Just a quick (?) Sunday Stealing while I'm waiting for the paint to dry...

    Gamer Girl

*This is a re-post of my first ever Blog.  Now I actually have some stalkers followers, it may even be read.  Enjoy!*

I was about eight years old when my parental unit brought his first P.C.  It was a monster of a machine, as they all were in the mid-eighties, and as a curious child my first question was, "Can I play games on it?"  I was told I could.  The only thing bigger than the excitement I felt was the disappointment that was soon to follow.

    I Feel Dirty...

Well, I've been and gone and done it now.

I've done the one thing that I swore I'd never do.  The one thing that makes me want to have a very hot bath.  But DAMMIT!  They don't make hot water hot enough!

    Fat Like Me

I have a confession to make...

    I am not perfect.

I'll give you a moment to digest that fact...

    United States of England

I have been abroad twice in my lifetime.

The first time was for the obligatory school trip to France when I was about 14.  We got on a coach before the sun came up, went over to Calais on the ferry and did our best not to succumb to seasickness (some more easily than others), spent an hour with a group of French school kids who spoke as little of our language as we did theirs, went round a hypermarket where we were instructed to buy some typically French food (I brought chocolate) and then came home again.  It was a very long, pointless day.  The only thing I learned was that French chocolate was yummy.

    Sharing the Disney Love

I am currently in the middle of writing a proper blog (yeah, I know, about time too) and it should be up in the next couple of hours, but I had to share this video with you.  It's had over a million hits and was only posted three days ago, and it's sooooooo beautiful.

    Inside Out

Outside lives a girl with a smile that will brighten up the room,
Yet inside hides a girl with a frown full of despair.

Sunday Stealing: The Burnt Toast Meme II

    17. Who would you like to show up at your door to say they love you?
Anyone.  As long as I knew them.  And liked them.  And they weren't stalking me.

Sunday Stealing: The Burnt Toast Meme

I just discovered this blog.  From what I can gather, they steal surveys from other bloggers (with their consent) and ask you to answer the questions to.  It's perfect for me as I'm usually awake at stupid o'clock (it's currently 3 a.m.) and quite often all blogged up with nothing to write.

    Why?

    Giggle Vid: Simon's Cat

Simon has a cat, he makes short films based on what his cat gets up to, and if you have a cat or have ever had a cat, you will definitely relate to Simon and his cat.

    The Magicians

"If there's a single lesson that life teaches us, it's that wishing doesn't make it so.  Words and thoughts don't change anything.  Language and reality are kept strictly apart - reality is tough, unyielding stuff, and it doesn't care what you think or feel or say about it.  Or it shouldn't.  You deal with it, and you get on with your life.

Little children don't know that.  Magical thinking, that's what Freud called it.  Once we learn otherwise we cease to be children.  The separation of word and thing is the essential fact on which our adult lives are founded."
